How long do you think it will be until info about the factions?
Just asking this out of curiosity. Do you think Bungie is just going to keep us in the darkness about what the factions represent (if they represent anything) up until release? Or do you think the information will be leaked very slowly over time. Place your bets, gentleman.
For those that don't know, there are supposedly 5 factions: Dead Orbit, FWC, Osiris (ignore the whole NPC thing for right now), Seven Seraphs, and New Monarchy. And we only have pictures of there flags/symbols right now.

I feel like they MIGHT mention it AFTER the Beta- assuming the beta doesn't really make use of them. If they do (which I doubt) thy will probably talk about it and any other unmentioned features in the beta shortly before it's dropped.

4 RepliesThats a good question. Ive been wanting to order a faction shirt but not very sure which one i would choose. Im not hopping on the bandwagon for just cool colors or sweet looking logos. I want to be able to indulge into them more so I can make my final established choice.

I think this will help people meet up and finish quests together , besides that people will just choose them based on symbols and colors until more information is released

Could the 5 diff factions be derived from the 5 diff races? I mean I know we play as Humans, humanoid-like organics, and what are they Cyborgs? And I know the other 4 races are our enemies, but before the last city on Earth was built under the Traveler, I'm sure the apocalypse had struck Earth. When ppl are desperate to live they come up with some pretty stupid solutions. Most of them being of religious or occult nature.

16 RepliesI think I figured out what Dead Orbit is. The symbol appears to be of the Earth and the Traveler. As we all know the Traveler hovers low above the Earth as if it was in orbit, but it doesn't move so it its orbit is "dead." Hence the name "Dead Orbit." Clever. This has lead me to believe that the faction as some sort of religious tie to the Traveler. Similar to the Unitologists in Dead Space. Another possibility is that it has some kind of tie to Warlocks. Of course this is all theory. Do NOT take anything I said here as fact because it isn't. This is just my best guess. What do you guys think?
