It's a "shared-", open-world first person shooter with RPG elements, there's no reason to turn it into the Sims with guns and aliens.

But it is an RPG. It doesn't take much for a game to be labeled an RPG. With all of the customization they are showing and the amount you can level up and change your character (or his role if you will) this is looking to be more of an RPG than fallout or skyrim. Your original post seems to stem from a general misconception of what an RPG is or a lack of understanding of cross-genres.
