I began to wonder if there would be any character customization separate from armor and class abilities/leveling. I have been hearing some people getting upset with having few race and class selections. With only three races and three classes people are fearing that people will not really have unique characters. I thought it would be cool to incorporate a physical character customization system separate from the armor/weapons you would get in the game. I don't know if there will be very much of the game where you can see the face of your character but it would help unique character customization if people could create the facial appearance of their guardians. And to add to that, I would like a feature that could alter the physical build/weight/height of your character. There would be limits of course, but again this would help unique customization. For example, when I make a Titan, I would prefer to make him 6' plus and 250 pounds of muscle. And when I make my Hunter, I would have a shorter, lean scrapper. I am not disappointed with the concepts or rendered designs of Bungie's characters but I feel that if they combined this kind of diversity with the physical appearance, armor, weapons, and abilities this would solve the customization issues some of the community has. To top this off, it would be awesome to have a selection of diverse voice tones and postures. Don't you think it would be better if you could customize your Titan to not only be large and imposing, but to have a proud personality, and by selecting a set posture that would be shown in your character's body language. His chest would stick out and would hold his head high with confidence. To add to that example, you could have cocky, slumped, calm, excited, angry, etc postures that would add a more diverse community in-game. Tell me what you think.

I wonder if we may see some implementations of a moral system? Good or Evil armor /appearance?

Edited by FairlySplendid: 7/15/2013 4:19:20 PMIt's been confirmed for months now that you will be able to: - Go into 3rd person in The City. - Take off your helmet. - Customize your appearance.

Edited by The Man: 7/15/2013 5:52:35 AMI've been hoping for the same thing. I've played a lot of Fallout, Skyrim, and the like, and I really think that a great customization system just adds another layer of immersion. Something more extensive, like what you were talking about with weight, height, and posture would be even better. It would allow you to sort of portray your character's "personality" or even your playstyle just by the way your character looks and holds himself. P.S. If anyone tries to start something with me because of my references to Fallout and Skyrim, so help me God.... I'm not comparing Destiny to pureblood RPG's such as those, just using them as examples.

Yea I think you can customize the way you look

Yes. I want it to be so you see a pretty significant difference while you're playing, not just when your viewing it and looking closely.

Edited by Voll: 7/15/2013 9:52:50 AMWhen I saw this part of the E3 demo I instantly thought, "Hope I can customize my character's physical appereance!" I think it can be a huge sales point for Destiny. You know, being able to be a unique Guardian and all that... For me, the external appereance (armor) is as important as the insides (face & build), but alas we'll have to wait and see. But who knows? They haven't said anything besides armor & weapons?
