Just give your honest opinion.

I enjoyed both trilogies, but I like the original trilogy a little more.
-
I thought they were good as I did grow up with both trilogies hand in hand whilst I doubt the next trilogy going to be getting any of my attention at all. (because of some of the actors that might be playing in it)
-
I grew up with both trilogies so I am familiar with the faults in both of them. I love each of them for different reasons.
-
They're ok. But ok isn't good enough.
-
They were horrible. Empire Strikes Back is one of the greatest movies of all time.
-
Bunch of sods, all Star Wars are fantastic !

I'm just wondering how J.J. Abrams will go about the new films, I don't want some random adventure. They've all got to link up, obviously. I think he was chosen because of his experience with Star Trek and Sci-Fi films, but I don't want a hyped up space adventure like his previous work. It has to be Star Wars.

Edited by Seggi: 7/26/2013 4:02:07 AMBeing somebody who was born in the early 90s, I had no real attachment to the original trilogy, and even now I don't think any of the movies are really particularly great, original or otherwise. It's silly (but pretty) scifi with a mostly crappy plot but some cool premises. That's all Star Wars ever was. The biggest difference between the two sets of movies is the quality of the dialogue, but that's more because the prequels had some godawful stuff, not because the original film's was particularly stellar (geddit).

Indifferent?

They were a big part of my childhood. I didn't get to see the original trilogy in the theater, but at least I got the next best thing. I liked them at the time, but now that I'm older, I see so much lost potential for a truly great trilogy. Episode 3 was probably closest to what made Star Wars what it was, but it was still more on-par with the prequel trilogy than the originals. Some of that dialogue in ROTS was... egregious. Gary Kurtz never would have let that shiz fly.
-
I love them
-
The prequels were good. The lightsabre battles were much better, and they had much more content from the books in them. Many more important characters, too. Really good. Most people will generally say that they suck, mainly because that's what most people say, and mainly because they've never paid attention to the movies, even if they've seen them more than once.
-
I liked just about everything from the prequels (although they are not as good as the originals) except Anakin. He ruined star wars by adding all of the love in episode 2 and then he killed the younglings in episode 3. Still the saddest scene and music in any star wars movie.
-
I think they were alright, I really enjoyed ROTS.
-
No. Most definitely not alright.
-
All six were basically my childhood. I'm not sure whether I should include Star Wars: The Clone Wars as an actual movie...
-
They're alright for back story, but will never be as awesome as the originals.
-
Phantom Menace > Attack of the Clones > Revenge of the Sith > Return of the Jedi > A New Hope > An Empire Strikes Back

Edited by Smarkdow: 7/15/2013 5:10:56 AMThe prequels are the most disappointing things since... ...well, you know.
-
I liked them. Not as good as the originals tho.
-
Such bad writing, eurgh. "I don't like sand"
-
I loved them, best films ever, especially loved the part where they were discussing the taxation of trade routes and treaties between different nations regarding interferences...
-
Revenge of the Sith is the best SW movie. umad *zips flamesuit*
-
Yeah, I'm alright with it.
