I found Saints Row 3 silly fun at first but then it got stupider and stupider.
Saints Row 4 just looks like a giant WTF.
Are you still into the series?
-
It's fun for about 2 days. Then it just sucks.
-
Edited by Jono: 7/11/2013 5:19:46 AMI never got into Saints Row. I was always a GTA fan.
-
Seeing as how my uncle works for the company that produces Saints Row...I still love it
-
The minute my friend became a toilet an started chasing me down with a 6 foot dildo i knew this game would only be fun for so long.
-
1&2 were ok no GTA but had that comical element. 3&4 eh... I was tempted by the dubstep gun, but no.
-
Yeah I've played and enjoyed every SR game to date and I'm looking forward to SR 4. I've preorder SR 4 like I did with SR 3...
-
Saints Row 4 is a just a $60 Saints Row 3 DLC...
-
I do.
-
It stopped being about a true street gang after the first game. Saints Row 2 still kept some gang roots but was quite silly
-
Saints Row 2 is still the best sandbox game ever made. Saints 4 looks glorious.
-
I loved the first two. It was less linear than SRIII and it had what I enjoyed: conquest. You took over neighborhoods through gang activities and missions. Eventually you would take completely over and that was that. With SRIII, the order in which you take on the gangs is predetermined, the co-op wasn't as great, and it had no competitive multiplayer. Granted, Saint's Row has always had shitty competitive multiplayer, it was still apart of the classic.

Saints Row 1 and 2 were fantastic games. Then SR3 was -blam!-ing awful and SR4 looks like even more money-grubbing garbage.
-
Saints Row 1 and 2 was fun, but 3 was dumb. I only played the opening scene and never played it again.
-
I just finished playing through the SR3 campaign. I actually agree completely with you, OP. It was fun at first then got less and less fun until it finally felt like I was just slogging through it just to finish the game. Kind of a bummer. I really wanted to like the game because I liked THQ as a developer.
-
I loved saints row 3.
-
I didn't like SR3 very much, but I'm willing to give the next one a chance.
-
I played very little of Saints Row 2, but I wasn't particularly impressed with it. Saints Row 3 is a lot of euphoric adult entertainment. It has its rough edges, but I really love playing a game designed by people who realized, "Hey, we're making a video game, and it's possible to let the player drive around in a glowing digital tank... so let's let the player do that!" I'm honestly really looking forward to the next game if it's more like SR3, especially the way its gameplay has been compared to Crackdown.
-
Me. I absolutely loved SRIII.
-
*Sanits row
-
Yup, cause you know what? Its fun and stupid. Something that is lacking in the console department.
-
Yep. Unfortunately other games have come out and SR3 is not being played by any of my friends anymore. I will be getting SR4 and GTA V.
-
-
Never really got into the series.
-
One of my suitemates senior year loved the series and played the heck out of 3. It looked pretty awesome at times and honestly the new one actually looks pretty bad ass. It is basically a super hero game with a sense of humor and guns?
-
Back in middle school I played the first one and I thought it was fun, then I got bored of it and traded it in. Then about 2 years ago I downloaded the game and I tried it again. After playing GTA 4 I could not stand that games gameplay and controls. It felt like shit. It was still the boring game to me so I deleted it. I did try the 2nd game, but I thought that was shit as well. It looked worse than the 1st game and I did not care for the gameplay. Driving felt so awkward to me.
-
I only really liked the first one.
