Far Cry 3's map editor
I've heard that its a great map editor.
Lets say if I want to make a map from another game(For example Halo 2), is that possible?

I LOOOOOOOOOOOOVED the Far Cry: Instincts map editor. I say this before anything else, just so you know that I have had experience with map creation. I spent an easy 300+ hours creating maps for fun. I tried using the Far Cry 3 editor and I quit ten minutes into my first map. Not saying its bad but it isn't anything that I was used to. The controls, the features... AI?! It all felt foreign to me. I'm sure if I give it enough time though, it'll grow on me.

It's not good if you want to make a vehicle orientated map. Even though Farcry: Instincts allowed you to publish maps and play in multiplayer if they have vehicles, F3 doesn't. All vehicles and AI can be added, but you can only have them in your map if you're the only one in it.

Theoretically possible. But not easy.

1 ReplyFar Cry 3's map editor is a terrain editor first and foremost, and allows you to then fill that with vegetation, wildlife, rock formations, water, etc, and pre-made structures. At a push you could remake a Halo 2 map, but it'd be very different.

Nah, it's more about placing trees, enemies and wildlife. And finished buildings.
