I was just watching through some of the gameplay videos again and I thought to myself how great it was that so many people are getting excited about this game. That then got me thinking about how many of them were long time fans or brand new Guardians.
I've played Bungie games since before I can remember. I was literally so young when I first played Marathon that I don't remember the particular day, I think it was around 15 years ago. But when I was very little, I used to play Marathon with my brother on his computer. It was awesome.
Then I got my second console, the Xbox and Halo CE along with it. Sure, I liked Marathon a lot but Halo is the game I fell in love with. Endless hours played with my brother (he loves Halo just as much as me) through the whole series up till 4. We both can't wait for Halo 5.
So Bungie and their stories has been important to me for literally as long as I can remember.
So how long have you been following Bungie or this particular game? A new part of the fanbase, or are you like me and have been following them for years? What is your story?
Regardless, it's awesome seeing how many people are excited for this game.

First time I played a Bungie game was around the release of Halo CE for the PC. Wouldn't consider myself as a "Bungie fan" back then because I did nothing but play the game and really didn't pay attention or care about the developers at all. It was later after Halo 2's release that I started to care or generally notice Bungie. Halo 2 is to date one of the best and one of the most fun multiplayergames I have ever played. Then I signed up on this site because of the sweet "Bungie"-title you could have behind your gamertag in Halo 2 which I got in 2006 if I remember it correctly. ( Really smart move to get players to visit their website if you ask me. ) That's the point where I started to get drawn in more and more into the Bungie universe and that's the point where I would consider myself a fan. Tl;dr: 2006
