I don't know if every single person here has something they enjoy enough to consider themselves passionate for it. So if you can't pick the next best thing if possible, at least then I'm sure you can come up with something. It doesn't have to be anything specific, it can even exist only as an abstraction if you wish.
I suppose I should start this off by supplying my own contribution.
I'm passionate about my progress, and my contribution to humanity. My progress possibly being the more important of the two, because it is what will allow me to give the contributions I wish to give.
I didn't come to realization that I wanted to cement my future into both physics and astronomy until my senior year of high school, and I can safely say that before that time period I held very little, if any kind of foresight. Because of this, I'm getting a bit of a late start. I'm going to have to place a level 6 on my placement exam at a community college in order to start with Calc right off the bat. Afterwords it'd be onto the physics courses they offer (the fairly few that they have sadly,) and switching to a University through a transfer program later on.
With such a rough start it may take awhile to progress to the later stages of this journey I've set down for myself, however it's one of the few things I'm determined to accomplish. I try my best to not be idealistic in this however, I don't plan to make jumps as large as relativity, or QED. I don't know if I'll discover something as amazing as the Huge-LQG, those "options" or possibilities are much further down the road. However just to be able to get close to those possibilities would be of great significance to me.
I find it funny that we can type things out like this, but behave so differently than what the words used can imply about a person.
I'm really passionate about video games. And I know that sounds like I'm a lazy bastard who will do nothing with his life to most people, but that's just who I am. Of course I realize the chances of me being able to play video games for a living are one in a million so I'm not putting everything on that possibility. I'm currently co-oping and studying to be an electrical engineer. The job is ok, I guess, but I'm working on starting a YouTube channel and blog all about video games (just like a million other people haha). I don't know if I'll ever be able to just do things I like for a living, but at least I feel better than before when I was just going to work because it was the thing to do. Now I have a dream to chase, I guess. Sometimes I feel like I'm making leaps and bounds. Other days I feel like I'm going nowhere. But such as life.

It sounds stupid, but the game of (American)Football. I don't know why, but I guess you could say I love it. I love playing it, watching it, and even learning it. Funny thing is; I honestly don't even know why.

Music, drumming to be specific. I found this eight years back. Had you asked me last year, it would've been to join the Army. It changed, and for the better. I'll be getting a better set of cymbals soon, and hope to hit the studio soon.

Honestly I'd love to make games because it's like an interactive art where new stories are constantly born.

Hi Travis! :) Just be glad you found your passion when you did. I'm 31 and didn't truly realize mine until a few shorts years ago. You have plenty of time...believe me!! Keep up all the hard work you've put in so far and keep your journey, narrow and straight forward! You are on the right path! As for me like I said, my passion was discovered merely a blink ago is PIZZA!! I always thought it was computers and such, which I still consider myself pro at, but it never made me happy and fully satisfied. I worked ( and still do now) at one of those "big chain" pizza stores, which I'll leave unmentioned for now. I started when I was fresh out of high school as a delivery driver and as the 13 years past I slowly realized, at the pace of a sloth, that, this is what I'm meant to do. I just love it! I mange now, and even know I'm only a shift runner, I am in contention to get my own store to operate, and have goals to eventually have own area to run. Everyone loves me, employees, customers, and upper management included. Going to work everyday and enjoying what I do is the best feeling ever and I get so much satisfaction from it. From a "world" stand point is may seem petty, but my own happienss from being able to do what I'm passionate about is priceless!!

Physics is my passion, although that could be generalized to any natural sciences. I always seek to understand how everything in the nature works. That is, if you have something related to mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, geology, astronomy, I'm always interested to hear. But in the future, I hope to some day be able to work in the front lines of physics research, uncovering the secrets of the universe.

I've been ready to be a dad since I was 16 (my sister got pregnant when she was 14 but she was forced to terminate due to a long story...) I'm almost 24 now. So I'd say being a parent is my passion even though I'm not one yet and its a passion which isn't shared by my fiance until after we are married. Which is fine I guess, her family is old school Christian (her mother disapproves of us living together without us being married.)
