Now, we know from mister Reaganite's thread that O'Donnell will be releasing a part of the Destiny soundtrack later this summer. And if we take a closer look at this thingy here, we can see some geomantic symbols in the background. I have named them, from left to right:
Conjunctio (the Conjunction) = Mercury
Fortuna Minor (the Lesser Fortune) = Sun
Via (the Way) = Moon
Carcer (the Prison) = Saturn
Amissio (Loss) = Venus
Laetitia (Joy) = Jupiter
Rubeus (Red) = Mars
I also went ahead and labeled the celestial body associated with each figure, as well as the rough English translation of each. Now, we can go ahead and use this to attempt to decipher the meanings of the names of each of these 8 tracks.
1. The Path (Via) = The Moon
2. The Union (Conjunctio) = Mercury
3. *The Ruin (Amissio) = Venus
4. *The Tribulation (Fortuna Minor) = The Sun
5. The Rose (Rubeus) = Mars
6. The Ecstasy (Laetitia) = Jupiter
7. The Prison (Carcer) = Saturn
*these two were difficult to decide. Fortuna Minor means misfortune that is to come, and Amissio means "Loss". So, the word Ruin and the word Tribulation (a tribulation is a passing of difficult, just down right awful times that is typically meant to test one's faith) are too similar, so I may actually have those backwards.
Now, Track Number 8 (The Hope) could be anything. There are only 7 celestial bodies associated with geomantic symbols, and I've already used all of them. Also, there are only 7 geomantic symbols pictured on the banner.
My guess, however, is that The Hope is a name for Caput Draconis (the Head of the Dragon), because Caput Draconis was supposed to be a very, VERY good sign if the symbol came up at the start of any prophetic readings. What if... this 8th title... is the Traveler? The new celestial body in our galaxy?
These geomantic figures may have a lot to do with the game's title: Destiny. I mean, they are used in special readings that tell the future.
Update: If you're checking this thread out, try my new thread. It goes back to the Alpha Lupi stories and draws connections from there.

Been away for awhile, but man this was great to come back to good find, jumping to the next thread to learn more.

The hope could just be Earth not necessarily the Traveler

Edited by MartinOfRedwall: 7/3/2013 3:00:04 PMI agree that the 8th is the Traveler.

I'm glad someone else was thinking The Hope is in reference to the Traveler

Missing symbol!? Remember we were missing one from last Bungie day

The geomancy symbols are used to represent a planet as I've shown majority of the users with the thread I made in January. Now for the 8th part it could refer to the fixed stars which is part of the 7 layers of earth myth.

You did some great work, but truthfully although some of it rings for me i do not understand the importance.
