I have read the awful reviews, and i've also heard some decent reviews. But what i want to know is: Is the Ouya worth 40 bucks? I have the opportunity to purchase one a little cheaper than usual.
-
The ouya does not impress me at all
-
If it was free, it still wouldn't be worth it.

Edited by Vezilian: 6/30/2013 3:54:32 AMDon't listen to some people. It's getting some good reviews. It's worth the $100. $40 is a great deal. Watch this review. Edited by Xmark120: 7/2/2013 6:52:59 AMI wouldn't even get it for $20.

Typically is reviews are split directly down the middle, then the product sucks. when this happens it's literally just people who bought the thing and are trying to defend their purchase. My personal opinion is the only way I would get that piece of shit is for someone to pay me to get it. The Ouya -blam!-ing blows and the morons that defend it, need to come out of their rebel bubble. The same people that defend this kind of crap are the same people that go around day in and day out ragging on companies like MS, Sony and EA.

It'd be worth $40 to be able to play emulators. If that's not your thing, you should probably avoid it.
-
For $40? Then yes. It's a great console for running emulations. But nothing more than that. It's "games" are merely smart phone style. It's not a true console.
-
Well the problem with the Ouya is the support for it. Many games that have been released are just simply bad. The most praise I see about it is the fact it can function as an emulator but why spend the money when you can just do that on the computer
-
Ask yourself this: would you buy and eat $40 worth of food (ie fancy dinner)? Because if you'd spend that much money on something that gives you an hour of enjoyment, why not spend it on potentially hundreds of hours of enjoyment?
-
Nope. total failure.
-
For 40 bucks, why not just try it out, thats like a days work.
-
Wait. Is the Ouya out? When the hell did this happen?
-
Yeah it's worth $40 bucks. Free Games + Emulators = Good Thing.
-
It's worth the 100. The issue was a bad launch for Kickstarter backers is all. Jump at the opportunity. Also don't forget it's a Launch Console that just launched. The games are slow now and will only get better as time goes by. Support is coming and what I've already seen so far is great.
-
If I were you I'd go ahead and buy it and wait for games to be better adapted to the system, instead of just ports.
-
Depends on what you intend to do with it. If you have no interest in the device then you probably shouldn't spend any money on it.
-
I think so for 40$ you can always sell it for more.
