Dear Bungie,
Hello, I have been frustrated over the years by your continuous failures, to implement any kind of competent multiplayer in your various Halo games, beginning with Halo 2 and continuing on up through your last flop, Halo 4. All of these games were nearly unplayable (even though Halo 4 was at least a decent attempt), and yet, you have continuously ignored my advice which could have saved your company. I was a 44 in Halo 3 which as you know is an extremely high level and even though I never achieved Onyx in Halo Reach I had a kd ratio of over 1.2, meaning that I was much better than most players. This trend continued in Halo 4, where my kd ratio is once again well over 1.1 and my weapons of choice are the sniper rifle and the DMR. So I find it flaberghasting that for years, when I post forums on Bungie.net about how to improve the game, I am continually ignored except by idiotic trolls who know nothing about proper game design.
With the recent announcement of Halo: Destiny, I am worried that you are finally going to succeed in your mission to destroy the Halo franchise. If you do not heed the proper guidance from your fans, you must heed the proper guidance from your owners. So earlier this week, I got my dad to buy some Activision Blizzard stock with my money. Here is a screenshot of his account for proof: http://oi47.tinypic.com/wrge4n.jpg. So now that I own a piece of your parent company, I feel that it is time my advice receives the proper attention that you have ignored it for so long.
So, since you don't listen to fans, here are some mandatory requirements for Halo: Destiny from one of your owners:
- Bring back balanced gameplay. Random weapons drops suck and armor abilities are like COD's bad stepchild
- Bring back an interesting campaign. The campaign hasnt been good since Halo 1.
- Allow us to play as brutes and grunts.
- No more fuel rod guns. This is a useless weapon except as a way to falsly increase the difficulty of campaign.
- Campaign should not have pointless button pressing.
- Remove the Banshee. This pointless vehicle is abused by trolls who simply spend the whole game spawn killing and ruining the experience for players who are actually skilled.
- No newer, harder aliens. I've seen some screenshots from Halo: Destiny that look like you're adding a lot of new aliens. Why? Don't.
- No Flood.
- Better multiplayer maps. Bring back good maps that worked in the past like Construct and Avalanche. Anything that looks like Epitaph or Ghost Town should go in the trash.
- Allow offline Spartan Ops. Online only? You need to think about people who play Xbox in their bedrooms and don't have internet access.
- Better matchmaking. People should be required to put in their gameplay style (such as "camper," "sniper," and so on) and you should not match people against other people that conflict. For example, I am a sniper. I do not want to have to yell at my own teammate who takes the sniper, so don't put me on teams with campers or other snipers.
- Instant respawns should be universal. If I have to betray a teammate to take the sniper rifle because he is wasting all of the ammo and missing shots, I do not want to wait to get back into the action later.
- Make Cortana less sexy. She's a computer program you sickos.
- Bring back dual wielding. Nothing makes you feel like more of a badass than mowing down some noob with two submachine guns.
- Take out the needler.
- Make the Warthog less powerful. This noobmobile is only good for people with no skill, and I'm sick of being killed by these maniacs.
- We should have the ability to hold more than two weapons.
- Would it kill you to make better graphics? If you want to know what good graphics look like, just pick up a copy of Crysis or Gears of War 2.
With these items in place, I am sure that your next game will be a success and I look forward to both of us making a ton of money on it. If you follow my advice, we could all be millionaires soon, so please do not hesitate to contact me with any further questions.
Sincerely,
OnyxSpartan343
