What are your thoughts on the new Ouya Console?
-
Hobbyists might find some interesting stuff to do with it. But with everyone and their mom (including Google themselves) rumored to release an Android console, I think dead.
-
The only reason I was interested in it was for gaming emulation. And for that it works. If you expect anything more you'll be extremely disappointed. Honestly the majority of games on it are smart phone worthy and that's it.
-
I don't think Android games are a good fit for the TV. I would be more willing to buy a dedicated handheld console. While the screen might be around the same size as a phone's, the physical controls and battery life would be the killer apps. It should be possible to make a Vita-style handheld for $199. The Nvidia Shield is just way too expensive.

A cute concept, being able to try every game before you buy it. Could breathe new life into old games, but it's a niche machine, not a console power.
-
It's a phone trying to be a gaming PC. Anything that can be done on the OUYA can be done on a gaming pc.
-
I think its cool that you could play your old classics again. If you're the type of nostalgic person that I am you would like it.
-
It makes a great paper weight
-
I don't.
-
I think it's the most pointless thing I have seen for gaming. Most people have smartphones so why would they want to get a console that plays games their phone can do? For people that have a gaming PC, 360, PS3, X1 and PS4 why would they want a far less superior console when they have something that plays for more superior games?
-
I can play those games on my phone
-
It's cool I like it.
-
It's like my phone, but i need a TV to play the phone-quality games, and it doesnt call or text or snapchat. "Innovation."

Phone in a box.
