Public event hunters?
So assuming we have guilds/clans, my best guess is that we will get a certain type of clan dedicated to going around and participating in public events. From the description bungie gave of them, there seems to be many different types of public events. If I remember correctly, some are even going to have enemies you only see once in a blue moon. So would you go around the solar system in a group dedicated to entering public events, or will you just join them if they are accessible and you feel like it?

2 RepliesI want to do public events but I want to do it with a nice group of people. Not necessarily clans, because I think there is a lot of gossipy, competitive weird crap that goes on (at least in my experience). I'm also switching from a Xbox 360 to a PS4 so only some of my friends will be going to that console. I'm hoping to find some kind people on here that want to play friendly games. The public events look awesome and a lot of fun.

I moght hunt occasionally. There are probably some loot drops from these events and I wouldn't doubt there would be special event only drops. Ill stick to my plan but if I happen to recieve some info on a specific event. Best believe I'm farming some public events. I NEED LOOT.

7 Replieshey i have a big idea for bungie !!!! why not let the player build a house in a game zone (as a real city) with garden where we put materials for craft and with this build new weapon or add an element to our bullet for example !!!! think at this ! it could be fantastic !

13 RepliesI wouldn't be surprised if the public events became the raids of other persistent world games. If this is true I think a lot of us will become public event junkies towards the end of each of the four Destiny chapters/parts/games. I do wonder if there will be some sort of lore based early warning system for public events such as broadcasts from the tower warning of incoming enemies/enemy forces movements/enemy patrols.

1 ReplyWell since I want to get destiny for the ps3 and most of my friends will have xbox 360 or xbox one I am expecting to play destiny alone and wouldn't mind a chance to play with other people. I will not just go out my way to find public events but would like to just find them randomly

The idea of a subcommunity who goes around and seeks out public events (and would hopefully share the info) is pretty cool and a little intriguing. I'd hold out and hope that Bungie gives us more info before getting too excited about it, though. Certainly an interesting thing to discuss, OP.

1 ReplyI think that would add a lot of longevity to the game. Taking a break from the story or PvP just for some good old large-ish scale PvE would be awesome.

6 RepliesI think there should be something where other players could commit crimes; such as stealing or even assassinating other players. Then there would be a bounty on that person and any player could try and hunt them down and kill them. I like the idea of criminal players and players who are like the enforcers. Sort of like a mafia or gang type thing. Or real players could hire other players to kill someone they dont like. Just my opinion

2 RepliesOk i know im probably going to get hate for this but bungie should make a 'game mode' or something where if your character dies you would lose all of your loot possibly go down a level and if you kill a player you maybe gain an enormous amount of xp reply yes or no. Know hate

From the E3 demo public events look like they could be a nice change of pace from my solitary exploring or co-oping and if everyone has their own loot drop then it is something I would be interested in trying a few times. If the loot drops are just run of the mill drops every time then they would get boring and it would only be a few times that I join but if you have a good chance of getting some quality loot then I could very easily turn into an event hunter.

4 RepliesWhat I really wanna hear is something about Bounty Hunting similar to Red Dead Redemption. Like a specific target enemy is named and you have to somehow track them down (maybe all the way to another planet), and you along with the other hunters have to compete to kill the target first for a large reward (in a PVP area, maybe?) Matter of fact, it would be even more interesting if the option was given for a player to maybe do a "crime" (like grab an item that's been labeled "off-limits") and would then have an hour to flee back to his base in The City, before bounty hunters hunt him down (who are immediately notified of his crime and label him as a bounty). This is purely just throwing my imagination around, but the concept just sounds brilliant to me

I only hope that the public events won't cut into the story and ruin any major story arcs. I also fear that i won't be able to find many place that aren't inhabited by others. being a public event hunter could be worth it but i think i really would like to beat the story first

I'll definitely like hunting them down, but I'd rather do so on my own or just with friends.

I think a group like that would add some great culture to the experience, though. If the system works in favor of this concept, you should totally make the clan/group!
