And I mean that in they are fast and agile rather than the shambling Mantis from 343 and MechWarrior and to be honest your shambling Devil Walker was fun to watch, but after seeing Titanfall I'm craving an occasional cat and mouse battle against a formidable machine.
Now shambling mechs have their places in mech lore, but in a few weeks we are going to be seeing Pacific Rim and that is certainly a movie featuring massive mechs the size of building displaying immense agility and movement against equally sized monsters. And it's awesome.
Now your concept art had some interesting Lost Planet like walkers present so I'm holding onto hope that these will show up in the game and will be dynamic on the battlefield next to whatever super sized tank replacing the Scorpion in your line up. Now like Zombies fans mech pilots have their own preferences between the slow mover bulldozer and the running tank as in example from Hawken,TitanFall, and the Armored Core Series.
So please don't forget us fast mech guys. I love good brawl with a massive Scarab like the next guy, yet there was some really tense and fun times battling good Revenant pilots as well and there's some next level battles on the horizon in the new consoles and I hope to see you guys put your amazing imaginations on Mechs and take us there with them in Destiny.

I would hope for something more like Armoured Core V. The mechs are smallish, about the same size as the Mantis. They are fast, agile and carry enough firepower to level a city block.
-
So we herd u liek shambling?
-
No. Mechs have always been lame and will always be lame. They're what killed me interest in Titanfall.
-
Where are these walkers in the concept art?
-
so... you want a Mobile Suit Gundam in Destiny?
-
Edited by Rain: 6/21/2013 11:29:59 PMi hear its a TITAN not a MECH, and also that the guys at respawn ( i think thats who is making it ) would cart you off for calling it such....but hey i dunno. They also have a mech jar instead of a swear jar.

I hate mechsss noooo
-
Growing up watching Gundam and IGPX shows I have to agree with you. I love mechs.
-
While I don't see a point in it, or a place really(unless its the mechanical space enemies that travel through time), I have to say. A variety of enemies never really hurt any MMO. Should guardians get mechs though? Probably not.
-
So like Mantises? haha.
-
Dez 99.9% of the time I agree with everything you say. Unfortunately, Mechs in Destiny? No Way LOL
-
Personally, fast and agile mechs are not my cup of tea. They don't seem realistic or feasible at all to me. I do love stuff like the Mantis though, and I think that was one of only a few good things about Halo 4. And could you provide a link to the concept art you are talking about? I only remember seeing spider tanks and pikes in the Destiny art, unless your talking about a particular piece of Reach concept art. I do remember one of those that sounds like what your describing.

I think tanks with spider legs are cool enough! And ZOMG hover bikes! And catapult turtles!
-
If you want mechs play Titanfall I say allow Bungie to create a great game don't inject such an op item into the game.
-
We have a race of tiny mechs called "Exo". Work with that.
