A lot of people think this screenshot is just an indication of what an Awoken may look like or is a variant of an Awoken.
This may be true but I can't help but wonder: is this "The Crow" briefly mentioned in the Pathways Out of Darkness ViDoc?
The one we're supposed to "help loot the Acedemy archives" in order to "gain favor with the Queen[?]"
Just at a glance, come on, right? He looks like "The Crow" would fit him well.
If you'd like a history lesson then read the whole thing, if not skip to the bottom.
Here's the theory:
-(1) Look at his breastplate, at first glance it may appear to be two worn symbols; an upturned crimson triangle with a similar chevron below. Upon closer inspection we see the shapes actually have square notches cut out of them, take a gander, what do they look like to you?:

The top: an obvious avian resemblance, for some it may appear to be almost like the Bat Signal. The bottom is much more ambiguous and we'll get to it later.

- - (1a) These two symbols can be primarily interpreted as, among the the numerous associations, two feminine shapes. More importantly the triangular shape can be interpreted as a feminine version of the New Monarchy symbol, for now lets take the chevron for what it is; an indication of military service.
-(2) Charlemagne had three sons who became kings, only one survived to become ruler of the Franks. Take another look at the hypothetical Crow's breastplate, notice the two broken crimson stripes running along the sides and the two notches taken out of the chevron below the bird-triangle in the middle.
With 2(4) stripes and a total of 6 notches taken out of the overall centerpiece shapes (in comparison to the three red capsules with one removed), the idea of duality is prominent.
- - (2a) This could point to the idea that "The Crow" is an embodiment of Odin's ravens, Huginn and Muninn (thought and memory), possibly the exiled Pippen and deceased infant twin brother of Louis, Lothair. (EDIT: dead end sentence zapped)
-(3) Most of what is put forth in (1a) is from the most prominent theory in my mind that attempts to explain the connection between Charlemagne and "one of the great Warminds of the Golden Age." The idea is that the Factions/corporations of the Last City are like that of the Assembly in the Halo Universe, certain aspects of Human expansion were controlled by a (secret) network of advanced AI.
- - (3a) This would explain the possible connection of Charlemagne to New Monarchy and the triangles feminine allusion, a possible mark of the Queen, if you will. As we all know the New Monarchy symbol is a white triangle containing two red capsule shapes with a third catching the border of the triangle. This actually provokes the idea that the third is encapsulating all of the triangle itself.
-(4) This all must return to the beginning, Charlemagne's concubine, Himiltrude, and second wife, Hildegard, were the only two to bear him sons.
-Himiltrude bore him his hunchbacked eldest Pippin, she was eventually removed from the court.
-Hildegard bore him Charles the Younger, Carloman, and twins Louis and Lothair (who died in infancy)
Louis was the only to survive to become Holy Roman Emperor and legitimately rule the Franks. He was briefly deposed so that could be the origin of The Crow's question at 11:36.
But I think it more likely indicates whatever organization he belongs to represents the lineage of Charlemagne because the Queen is not referred to by name, rather by title.
TL;dr I think this is "The Crow" and I think he will be a major character.
This is my interpretation:
-The bird-triangle represents the four out of five sons removed from Louis's path to make him king.
-The chevron indicates the two removed that posed no real threat to Louis's ascension to the crown.
-The broken stripes to the sides are symbolic of the two older brothers that died before their father did.
-The third engulfing capsule of the New Monarchy symbol represents the son who inherited Charlemagne's empire, juxtaposed by the two capsules contained (ie Lothair/Pippen vs Charles/Carloman)
EDIT: Fixed some links, grammar, and switched 2&2a with 3&3a for better readability.
