I've been wanting to say this for a long time, and it's to/about the whole Bungie art team.
The world of game development is full of amazing artists, and Bungie is no exception. Look at some of the Destiny screens, not only is the direction beautiful, but the execution is as well.
However, while it takes a great team of artists to create something as beautiful as Destiny, it takes a truly brilliant team to know when to stop. And Bungie has proven that they are truly brilliant. Too many artists, as great as they are, forget that they are making a video game, and while they get some impressive visuals on the screen they start to distract, annoy and even *cough* Halo 4 *cough* hurt eyes and performance.
So while you may see other games that might appear better looking than a Bungie game, I don't think anyone creates that perfect balance of visuals and visibility like Bungie does.
Keep up the amazing work artists of Bungie, we love you! Seven cheers for the art team!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who's eyes are hurt by Halo 4. To give credit though, Bungie did have some learning to do as well. Halo 3's lighting engine was like looking into the sun at times. They figured it out though. c:
