Enthusiast PC users, I need some advice (Cooler Master HAF X)
I've got a Cooler Master HAF X, which is a huge-ass case and looks badass, with great cooling. However, the large side fan appears to have been damaged in transit moving the tower to and from my university dorm from home during and out of term time. The fan still works, but upon startup it makes a LOT of noise and seems to be wobbling in the housing. It eventually settles down and makes no noise at all.
However, tonight it started apparently catching on the housing as it spins, and it's becoming a nuisance. The once silent tower is now hella loud. So what should I do?
I can unplug the fan and keep the panel on, vastly reducing noise and the flow of dust into the tower. I can remove the panel entirely and expose it to dust, but reducing the amount of noise.
These are just temporary fixed until I repair or replace the faulty fan. Any ideas for replacements and/or what to do in the meantime?
