I am assuming those who clicked on the thread title have already completed the story line in The Last of Us, so I will not be holding anything back.
If you haven't beaten the game yet, MAJOR SPOILERS BELOW!!!

Now that we have that out of the way, what did everyone think of the ending or the game in general? I seriously think that this is one of the greatest video games I have ever played. Not only were the cinematics and gameplay fun and exciting, the ending left me wanting more, and I felt conflicted about Joel's actions. He basically killed humanity's only chance at a vaccine just so he could save Ellie. After the death of his daughter Sarah all those years ago, he couldn't bare to lose another "daughter" so close to him.
Even the little things greatly impressed me like how Ellie would look away whenever I shined my flashlight in her eyes. There was also a sequence where Joel went into the normal animation to boost Ellie up onto a ledge only to later realize that she was still sitting down across the way. The game then exits the animation and cuts back to the player as Joel starts talking to Ellie to see if she's alright.
I have honestly never felt this close to a fictional video game character until I picked up the Last of Us. It is the absolute perfect swan song to the PS3.
What were some of your experiences with Naughty Dog's newest masterpiece?
