You are supporting genocide if you support the Syrian Opposition. And don't think that the only reason why it's genocide is because the victims are Christians. The same thing has happened to Shiite Muslims.
Assad might not be the kindest leader, but he is a better alternative than another islamic state. And the Free Syrian Army is mostly, if not all, muslim. A person of any other religion is less likely to commit atrocities against his fellow religion.
Also, the Free Syrian Army has declared it's allegiance to Al Queda, the U.S.A.'s worst enemy. We have armed them once. Look what happened there. If we arm them again, the same situation will happen. We send out kids to get killed by terrorists carrying equipment and weapons we gave them.
We need to force our countries out of aiding these terrorists.

Is Assad dead now

As far as I'm concerned, I say do not intervene at all. There is a certain beauty in chaos, soon they'll just be fighting in the streets for no purpose and a long dead goal, there's something ever so wonderful about it all. Let them spill their own blood, and soon the corrupt order will fall, only with the beauty of chaos to remain.

I'm one of those 'Kids' that you're talking about. I could get killed if we go over there.

relevant

I never supported them. In fact I don't support getting involved in other countries affairs period
-
I haven't and I won't be. We need to stop being the int. police, and focus on only us.

Haven't you and I discussed essentially this before? I think we have.
Assad might not be the kindest leader, but he is a better alternative than another islamic state.
>implying that's the only other alternative.
And the Free Syrian Army is mostly, if not all, muslim.
They aren't entirely composed of Muslims, no. The FSA is an umbrella organization comprised of Muslim, Christian, Kurd, and secular opposition groups.
Also, the Free Syrian Army has declared it's allegiance to Al Queda
Lol, no they didn't. The only group to do so, so far, is the al-Nusra Front; which is not a member of the FSA.
We have armed them once.
We never once armed al-Qaeda or the Taliban for that matter. During the Soviet War in Afghanistan, we funded Afghan groups, not Arab's. According to Ghost Wars by Steve Coll, our money never went to Bin Laden as he funded the AQ precursor group via his own wealth and by donations from Saudi Arabia. We funded Afghan's like Ahmed Shah Massoud, who would later form the Northern Alliance.

I don't give a -blam!- about what the apes over there are bickering about, hell just nuke all of the -blam!-ing zealots and shut the up already.

Edited by Faux Noise: 6/18/2013 2:44:16 AM>conservative action alerts OT: I never supported the rebels. They are far more dangerous than Assad's government, which is just trying to impose order for the Syrian people.

Edited by Euler: 6/18/2013 2:46:27 AMYou would hope America has a contingency in place after Afghanistan. No country would/should be stupid enough to repeat the same mistake twice unless they were certain of the outcome, taking into consideration Syria's proximity to Israel.

I support the Palestinians, but they don't make a bumper sticker for that so yeah.
