They've done a ton of really touching things over the years. A few years ago a Seattle game dev gave his life in a head on collision to save his wife an child. A signed Reach edition 360 went onto eBay from Bungie as a fundraiser for the family.
A few years before that, Bungie sent an amazing care package to a fan who had collected Bungie signatures and sketches on his 360. When it was scrubbed clean despite his efforts to make it clear he wanted the case in original condition, Bungie sent him a box of signed swag to make him feel better, even though they owed him no responsibility on the matter whatsoever.
