A hero runs around the galaxy, solving problems (for better or worse) on multiple planets, while a huge threat looms throughout the game. Ending came from left field and leaves you just thinking "What? Must've been rushed..."

Nope :D That's half the fun of it. The gripes many had with ME3 initially echoed the complaints of KotOR II. They're one in the same.
