Storms and lightning... and the weather
*strokes beard of wisdom*
I'm sitting here in my room in good olde England, doing a college assignment, posting on the Flood and there's a thunderstorm outside. It's not that spectacular, just rain and some rumbles every now and again - although the rains just picked up and is quite heavy now (I like rain).
Ok, it's [i]really[/i] raining now :D
Anyway, Flood, describe the most spectacular weather you've been in.....

1 ReplyA line of severe thunderstorms called a derecho hit our area last year. It was as strong as a hurricane, with none of the warning. It took out the power for 3 days, and killed a lot of people.

I was in a hotel in Croatia on a balcony that overlooked the sea. We spend nearly an hour watching a thunderstorm roll in from the horizon to shore, with sheet lighting all the time. It was awesome :-D

The worst i've been in was an...honestly rather weak hurricane. A little siding came off of a few houses, but nothing major.
