If you go to gamestop, the actual store to reserve either one of the next gen consoles. Then be prepared to fork over $100 to reserve your system. Be quick about it! The one that I went to, was only allocated 8 Xbox One consoles and I do not know how many PS4 consoles.
I am reserving a PS4 by the way, not an Xbox One.
Thought that I would let ya know.

Yeah. Amazon doesn't require any down payment, though I think they're out now, too. Meh. Smarter to wait on it anyway. Tell MS with our wallets to lower the price and change polices. Hurray not supporting practices that hurt the community!

Preorder on Amazon. Zero dollars down and it's guaranteed to be delivered on day one.
-
You sure? I just pre-ordered the Xbox One at my local EB Games store and I only had to pay $50. They only had 13 or so to sell today though, I was the 7th.

I wouldn't reserve it in the first place, but if I did, $100 is what I'd put down anyway.
-
I wouldn't buy a console the moment it comes out anyways. I like to see what unfolds and either never buy one or wait many years until I do. Really in no rush as in most of the games that are for consoles are going to be on pc with better graphics anyways.
-
Why would you reserve a next gen console? They're not limited supply here.
-
I'm iffy on reserving consoles that early.

Reserving is a good thing to do if you're worried they will sell out of product, but in this case I would say it's better to wait and let the statistics tell Microsoft that we need more from them. Besides, the majority have not even played these consoles, and it would be better to get a feel for both before investing in one.
