Sounds more like the Xbox One policy now. Still, Playstation doesn't have to connect to the internet, but looks like they are the same as Xbox in that they are leaving it up to publishers. What do you think?

So its basically how it is now, great I can live with that. Xboxone has a drm check every 24 hours thanks to the required internet connection so really not the same.

There's a huge difference between 3rd party DRM and on-console DRM. Xbox One requires DRM checks via console. (Hence the 24 hour checks) 3rd party is akin to what EA did with Mass Effect 3, aka Online Passes. (a policy they've since discontinued due to unpopularity)
