Halo 5 Wasn't Announced...
Just thought I'd point it out, at no point was the number 5 mentioned at all...
I'm betting it'll be a remastering of the Xbox/Xbox 360 Halo games for Xbox One, with a port of Halo 4's multiplayer, it makes more sense really.

The way i took it they just wanted to throw halo in because it sells, but didn't put a "5" there because they don't want to commit to anything yet in terms of naming.

1 ReplyI'm pretty sure Microsoft has been on the record of saying they want to make new Halo games every year. Meaning there will be standalone games or something that is released during a year in which an official Halo game is not released. My guess is this Halo game is not Halo 5.

2 RepliesBecause with the Xbox One they are rebranding their titles probably. Halo 5 will just be Halo. A fresh start, but continuing the same storyline unlike DMC. Then the subsequent Halo 6 might be Halo : insert subtitle. They might do the same for Fable I guess. Killer Instinct is just being called Killer Instinct, right?
