I just finished my Junior year of high school. I had a 4.55 GPA cumulative.
My GPA for Junior year by itself was a 4.9, but because my cumulative gpa from Freshman and sophomore year was a 4.2
My classes in Junior year was AP US history, AP Lang, AP Psyche, AP Calculus, Honors Biology, Honors research, and Honors Spanish. I got A's and A+'s in them all.
So, would you guys say a 4.55 GPA is good? My dream school is University of Virginia, do you think that I have a good chance of making it in?
My Extracuriculars are three years of Cross Country, one year of lacrosse this year, volunteering for Key club, and Debate team.
I haven't taken the SAT, but I've taken practice ones and I've been getting an average of 2100-2200.
Do you guys think I can make it into UVA?
My dream school is University of Virginia
You have pussy dreams.

Weighted GPAs don't mean shit outside of your school.

Edited by HurtfulTurkey: 6/8/2013 4:03:52 PM
4.55 GPA cumulative.
That's impossible on a standard scale. You're probably factoring in weighted credits, which nobody gives two shits about. And you're clearly baiting, so I'm also assuming you're an overweight 15 year old girl.
-
I thought the scale only went to 4.0.
-
You must be using some good bait because you got some people. Not me. Go -blam!- yourself.
-
Asshole.
-
Don't fish, guy.
-
Yeah...no. If you're asking then either you don't have one or you're fishing for compliments.
-
> you have an supposed 4.55gpa > you supposedly got A's in all your honors classes > you supposedly got 2100-2200 on your pSATs > you're asking the Flood because you somehow don't know if you're good enough. Something doesn't add up here.
-
Don't fish for compliments.

hey guise! guise!
its a copypasta!
I read all that as "Hey guys I'm really smart but I'm lacking common sense." Why in hell are you asking if those kinds of grades qualify you for a university? The only logical reasons are because you want everyone to know your grades or you're making the entire thing up.
-
Not good enough.. You need a GPA of 6 or else.. You'd be better off flipping burgers at McDonalds
-
I think you have a very good chance.
-
I would say normally yes but teachers give As like Cs today so GPA is useless now its more about outside of school stuff. Some school I heard recently had like 19 valedictorians WHAT?¿¿¿¿?
-
Like burrito said, fishing for compliments isn't going to get you anywhere in life. There's nothing more annoying than that guy who thinks he's high and mighty just because he's smart. This is assuming you're not trolling of course.
-
Fishing for compliments isn't becoming of you.
-
Doesn't count for shut if you aren't involved in extracurriculars
-
4.55%? I dunno. I'm no genius, but I'm pretty sure that's a fail.
-
First of all, scrap the weighted GPA, they don't look at that. And with all of that, it's not a matter of getting in, it's a matter of scholarships. If you're out of state, pick a different school. If you're instate, shouldn't be an issue.
-
Sheeit, with all of those AP classes, and a 4.5 GPA to boot...... Better off workin at Walmart
-
What High School do you go to?
-
If you have to ask if a 4.55 GPA is good, then you didn't get a 4.55 GPA.

Edited by burritosenior: 6/7/2013 1:44:51 PMThree things, all important. 1. The average for admission there is 4.2. So you're above that. 2. GPA isn't the 'end all be all.' It depends on other things you do. I can't speak for your extra activities and how they'll be weighted. 3. And this is the most important:
So, would you guys say a 4.55 GPA is good?
Don't fish.

I take it this on a 12.0 scale?
