The Best Games of the 7th Generation?
As we embrace the 8th generation of consoles, I feel we should remember the best games of the last. The 7th generation of consoles includes the:
- Xbox 360
- Playstation 3
- Wii
What do you think are some of the all time greatest games released for these systems and why? This does NOT mean your favourites (necessarily) but games of the highest grade of design excellence.
I'll start us with BioShock. It wasn't my all time favourite game but an undeniable gaming classic on many levels.

Halo 3 Halo ODST TES: Skyrim Dark Souls Minecraft Mass Effect 1-3 sans last 10 minutes Asura's Wrath DLC(lol) Ending Mario Galaxy 2 Deus Ex:HR Assassin's Creed 2---Brotherhood Battlefield BC2 SSBB Xenoblade Star Wars TFU2 (guilty pleasure nonsense) etc. and tons of PC stuff that robs my wallet with each sale.

Mario Galaxy 1&2 Skyward Sword and Twilight Princess SSBB Uncharted God of War Halo 3 and Reach Borderlands 2 Gears of War 1 and 3 Probably GTA 4 and possibly 5 Portal 1&2 Left 4 Dead 1&2 The MOBA genre became huge (DOTA2 and League) Bioshock 1 and Infinite Oblivion and Skyrim Xenoblade (Wii)

H3, Bioshock, Brawl, Skyward Sword, Super Paper Mario, Bioshock Infinite, Last Of Us, Xenoblade, PMD II(came out on DS during the time of Gen VII, so nyeh), LBP2, Journey, Potal 1&2, LA Noire,TES IV Oblivion, TES V, DE HR, Sleeping Dogs, Sonic Colors, just to name what I remember.

Edited by TrustySnooze: 6/4/2013 10:52:59 PMI don't know about the highest grade, but I think GRAW, Call of Duty 3, and Halo 3 were pushing it for their time and quite enjoyable. On the other hand, Halo Reach is of great quality. I also really like Ghost Recon Future Soldier, but there are a few things I think they could have perfected. I guess I shouldn't forget about Portal 2 either.
