I'll run Windows 8 in a virtual machine just so I can play this game, but I probably won't upgrade though. Nice try Microsoft.
Anyways, what do you think about this?
-
Honest opinion, it didn't look half bad and i'm a bit impressed. If it plays a bit like Halo Wars, which it did seem to, i would get it. But since i'm not going to spend several hundred to play that one game, pass.
-
And it looks like a cheap, thrown-together, bag of smashed assholes. I won't be buying it.
-
I'm not even going to bother. 343 couldn't make a good FPS, how are they going to make a decent top down game?
-
Edited by Bistromathics: 6/6/2013 12:00:53 AMTop-down makes sense. I like games like Shadowgun and NOVA, but I do get frustrated by the control limitations of a touchscreen. Twin-stick shooters are tried-and-true, and the twin-stick control works well with a touch screen. It also makes vehicle gameplay easier, I guess. I think the dev partnering with 343 made Gatling Gears for XBLA, and that was supposed to be a good game. Wonder if they thought about doing a side-scroller. Halo Zero was pretty fun, lol.
-
I definitely won't spend 5 years with a shit OS and 100 extra dollars for 15 hours of gameplay.

Edited by BasementDoor: 6/5/2013 11:46:13 PMLooks interesting I guess buuuuut.... Lelwindows 8. Never.
-
It's a shame Halo is going out like this. First Halo: Reach, then Halo 4, now this. Halo as a whole would be remembered differently if Halo: Reach, Halo 4, and now this crap never came into existence. Halo's reputation is being tarnished by all this milking.
-
Sounds like a very poor spin off. Ill pass.

this is how moneysoft advertises their new op's
-
I laughed.
-
My thoughts exactly on this.
-
The milking isn't even subtle anymore.
-
Who the hell is going to buy this?
-
Ugh... Just give us Halo 3 so we (PC gamers) can finally "finish the fight." Please, just simply port Halo 3 to the PC. That's all I ask!
-
Oh look another game outsourced by 343. Three in a row. Stop the presses.
-
Edited by Prototape: 6/4/2013 8:23:55 PMI love how they made it exclusive to Windows 8, I thought they learned their lesson from making Halo 2 a Vista exclusive. In any case, I thought this was going to be an actual game, not a mobile time-waster kind of game. I'm not impressed in the slightest.
-
Good god that looks awful.
-
-
Can't believe the amount of people pooping on Spartan Assault. THIS is the game that will kill Halo? Lol ok.
-
Am I the only one who likes this? I would get this if it wasn't only on Windows 8.
-
FYI: People who don't like it don't have to play it. Stop crying.
-
RIP in peace Halo.
-
Goddammit, I have given up all hope for Halo. You see, when Bungie still made Halo, the games all made enough on their own to continue at the rate they were being produced. The problem that Microsoft is running into, is that Halo 4 is not selling near what they expected (because the game is terrible), so, they need other products on the market so that they can continue making profits off of the franchise.
-
Ugh... the milking... its entering maximum speed!
-
Edited by BerzerkCommando: 6/4/2013 5:44:31 PMSo instead of making a new Halo spin off like a Battlefield version for the Xbox One and PC. They make a Dead OPS ripoff for a tablet....Good job Microsoft.
