Xbox One patented for MPAA cooperation
patent grants the MPAA authority to charge you a viewing fee "if Kinect detects too many warm bodies in the room".

It's these actions that should make us snowball the entire Xbox-1 into a huge flop. They'll demand the same rules on any music they sell. Next they'll charge you more if you want to play split-screen with a friend. There's a video on YouTube that actually tells you what Microsoft wants to do with this new platform. It's summed up in three words: TV, sports and Call of Duty. They want to host their own television broadcasting network, make you pay more for any sporting events and shove poorly imagined games down our throats until we regurgitate (then we're expected to pick up this excrement, eat and repeat). Don't allow a company to make new laws simply to put money in the pockets of their executives.

3 RepliesGuys think about it for a second how often you buy something to view from xbox live? I personally use my xbox for gaming, netflix, or watching a movie I already own. I've never rented a movie off xbox or anything. Or does this patent apply to handheld copies of stuff?

Why the -blam!- would M$ do this? It's not a rule, the MPAA didn't force this, Microsoft is allowing this of their own free will. Why? I don't get it! This won't benefit them, only make them look bad. It's like they don't WANT people to buy Xbox One!!!

They've really -blam!-ed up the next Xbox, haven't they? No problem. I've still got plenty of games I need to finish on the 360. I won't waste any money on such a garbage system.

Oh for cogs sake! Sony are just screaming with laughter right now, I can just picture it. Every nail M$ sticks into the xbone coffin they are going to need 10x more effort at E3 to convince people to get it.
