Dang....Zynga must really be hurting.

Its probably because they are moving out of the mobile game industry and into the casino gaming industry. They dont need nearly as many employees if they are stopping with farmville and derpville or whatever the crap they have. All I know is that company is the risk/reward one of the stock market. In 5 years it could be trading at 50+/share or not exist at all. I know they are the in the front door trying to get online gambling legal in NV and if they succeed imagine playing real gambling on your iPad. Theyd be making money off that and damn would they make a ton. Pretty cool to like take a 20 dollar bill and just gamble it from your own home. I wouldnt do it but millions of others would.

How is 520 jobs only 18% of their workforce? Seems odd that Halo games can be made with a few hundred people, yet Farmville would need 2000.
-
Whether you agree with the company's gaming approach or not, over 500 jobs being lost is pretty awful. Sucks for those laid off.
-
Au is for the job loss but the games they make are crap.
-
Thank God.
-
Was anything of value lost?
-
Weren't these guys supposed to be the next big name in gaming or something?
-
Didn't they also blatantly copy two or more games from a small publisher and EA? I just outright don't trust them.
