I dropped out of my freshman year of college midway through 2nd semester, it was just a crappy first year that I wasn't at all prepared for. My depression kept getting worse, my GPA was a solid 0 and I wanted to just be done. I packed up all my stuff: computer, supplies, decorations, and clothing and moved home a week after spring break. My parents had one condition: I must have all my boxes unpacked by Memorial Day. Easy enough, I had about 8 boxes to go through in about a month and a half, so I agreed.
I got about 3 boxes done within 2 weeks, one contained a majority of my clothes and toiletries (keep in mind I dragged everything I felt I needed to college with me, I was a stupid freshman). All the while I was doing this task, I was also searching for a job, I wasn't just going to leach off of my parent's generosity with letting me stay at home (counting they paid for college which I completely -blam-ed up royally). Well I ended up getting a full time job as a zoo keeper taking care of the giraffes at the local zoo, a job I couldn't be happier with! :) In addition to that I also worked part time as a janitor for my dad's company. Well as many of you know work ends up eating most of your time, and on top of that I am the only one of three other siblings in the house who will willingly run errands and help my parents. So a lot of my time was gone.
Well I ended up getting 4 more boxes done and it was the week before Memorial Day, the last box contained all my kitchen items (silverware, plates, pots, pans, cups, a crockpot, you know the basics). I already took care of the box that contained most of my clothing as I mentioned above, so I felt as though I didn't need to take of this one especially fast because I don't have any use for kitchen objects already available in my house. I got home from work on Friday with the intention of getting this last box taken care of, ran to the dining room where all my crap was, only the box wasn't there. I ran upstairs expecting it to be sitting at the foot of my bed, but it wasn't there either. I then asked my mom where she put the box, she told me that she had cleaned it out as a favor for helping out so much around the house, it was a gesture of kindness so I wasn't mad :)
Only I come to find out that she had gone through my shirts and donated everything that looked "too small".
My Bungie Day T-shirt was one of the pieces of clothing that was donated. That shirt was the best shirt I have ever owned. I ordered that shirt on July 7, 2011 during my team's lunch break at 2 PM for our 24 hour Halo Reach party. I was the only one in the party to have started at 12 AM and played till 12 AM (central time, I know it wasn't the official start time) and I remember skipping lunch during band camp about a week later just to run home and grab the shirt to show it to my friends (I even have the Bungie Day card framed! Check out the pics!). I kept this shirt was a proud reminder that I was a supporter of Bungie. I wouldn't call them my idols, but I'd call them a true inspiration of what you can accomplish if you have a dream, a passion, and can remember to have fun accomplishing the goals you set (honestly the "O Brave New World" video was about the only thing that kept my hopes up in the really bad parts of my year at college, and it's still an inspiration that I watch maybe once a week). But anyway the shirt is gone. I'm not mad at my mother, she did a very kind thing for me, but I am saddened that my shirt is no longer with me.
I thought for one shining second that the Bungie store might have have some for sale, but upon checking I found not one, so I checked eBay and amazon as well, still no luck. If anyone does know where I can buy one please let me know! It will never be the same as my first one, but at least it will be the same style shirt!
Btw the pic is a group of people from my school from last summer going to Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands, take a guess at which one is me. I even wore it there, not only was it representative of my favorite company, but it was also one of the most breathable and comfortable shirts I have ever owned! And it will be missed :(

What size do you wear, OP?

Well I know it's been a while, but I had to complete this story of mine. I did go to the closest Goodwill to see if they had it. I searched carefully and it took me about an hour. I never found it, but I was determined so I checked at the surrounding stores to see of they had it. Long story short, after many days and several hours I never did find it. As saddened as I am that this reminder of Bungie's Halo days is no longer in my possession, I am very happy at the same time because someone out there saw this shirt and figured it would be an awesome thing for someone they cared about if not themselves. And whoever is wearing the piece of awesomeness I really hope is getting the use that I got out of it if not more. This year for Bungie Day, I bought another shirt, the E3 Black Bungie tee, it's nothing like that awesome piece of swag from 2011, but it's still a way I can show respect and the fact I can't friggin wait for Destiny. Plus a review said that just by walking through the mall I can get multiple girlfriends and free random cookies, my Burn Bright Burn Blue shirt may have been cool, but it was never magical. Sorry about posting to a dead topic, but my story is over now, I just thought I'd finish it for those interested. Still on the lookout for another Bungie Day 2011 shirt if anyone ever does see one online for sale please message me about it, I'd love to get my hands on another one. Happy Bungie Day everyone, I can't wait to see what the 7th brings this year. (1 hour early for technicalities, Indiana resident lol)

Question did you go to penn state hazel ton? You may be my bros former roommate and if that's the case then we met
-
Go and throw out all of her shirts. :)
-
Weird question. Do you live in a family where you can tell your dad that your mom deserves a spanking?
-
Well, you could just go to where she donated it and buy the shirt back.
-
The guy on far right? Looks like a spartan on the shirt..,
-
Ten years in the future, you will see a tattered Bungie Day shirt being donned by a homeless gentleman name Joe.
-
I didn't read this... just saw title... HERESY!!!!!!
-
I agree that it is a very comfortable shirt, and I can only hope that you find another one someday.
-
It would be totally Beast of Bungie to send you a new one.
-
Go to where she donated it; like now! Buy it off of them.
-
If you have a graphics art class, you could try to make your own with one of those t-shirt heat presses.
-
I have a ladies' XL you can have...
-
That's a shame OP. I feel for ya buddy
-
What I want to know is, where can a "Property of Bungie.net" Webmaster shirt be found? I've always wanted one, but I never bought one when they were available. I can't find one anywhere online now.
-
First off, parents really should just never donate or sell the belongings of their children past 5 or 6 without said child's EXPLICIT permission. That's a load of bullshit right there. -blam!-! That being said, did you find out where it had been donated? You might be able to make a few calls and get it back. Until then I'll keep my eye out for one.

So sorry to hear man. I feel you. When I went off to college (MA certified) I wasn't ready either. I was sleeping in class and never had my homework. The only reason I passed is due to my ability to retain information that interests me. It's my easy and it is different for everyone. Some blow through college. Some can't do it. Just gotta try again when you're ready right? Don't give up mate.

I figured posting this in the community might be a starting point as to where I might find another one somewhere online if I can't get mine back. It's not a call out to get a shirt from someone else or one from Bungie, but more of a "keep your eyes open" topic. But in all honesty, that was a great shirt
-
Go to the place she donated the shirt to and buy it back maybe?

Edited by Kickimanjaro: 5/31/2013 5:53:57 AMHey Bungie, send this man a t-shirt! Edit: Please, if you would be so kind.
