Vehicles
The damage has been increased on both the Mantis and Warthog Chain Gun.
Lastly, base player movement speed has been increased from 100% to 110% across all playlists and modes. All of these balance tweaks will be released this coming Monday in order to provide a more fast-paced, optimized matchmaking experience, and all of Halo 4’s applicable Matchmaking game types will be affected by this change. Team Snipers, Grifball, and Action Sack’s Rock N’ Rail will not see any changes, however, as the weapons in these game types are not affected. Some game types (such as Action Sack’s Lightning Flag), will not receive the change due to the preferred pace and balance in the current tuning. Moving forward, select game types in the Action Sack playlist may use alternate weapon tuning, and we will be sure to provide information on these game types when the time comes.

I never had problems with any of the weapons in the game (aside from many being redundant and bland). This game really needed to focus on diversifying gametypes. For example: a lot of the maps are asymmetric, yet there are no asymmetric gametypes to go along with them. Game just got boring after awhile since there wasn't a vast difference on what you could play.
-
LOL yeah like this crap is going to bring anyone back to this pathetic excuse of a Halo game. You enjoying that player population of 4,519 people, 343? lol halo 4
-
The LightRifle zoomed rate of fire has been increased.
Everything was going good until teh puma saw this.
-
And with these changes, your energy shields and Spartan armor become paper tigers. Good job, 3fail3...
-
Until they put weapons on the map I still feel that Halo 4 is a lazy job compared to the rest of the series. However I heard they were rushed to selling this game but if they do the same thing next time I will not buy halo 5 thats for sure. Weapons on the maps are one of the major differences between halo and COD.

No amount of Updating will ever restore my faith this peice of shit game.
-
They.... nerfed... the Light rifle???????????????????? WHY?????
-
Really admire their dedication to post-game support. <343. I already love Halo 4 and these tweaks seem great.
-
It definitely peaked my interest. I wont be in town for a week when it hits though unfortunately. Hopefully now i can kill people with the hog turret before they can stick me.
-
This should've been done before releasing Halo 4 not 6 months later…

Edited by nightspark: 5/30/2013 11:29:49 PMAs long as they refuse to remove care packages, AAs, loadouts and keep BTB slayer only. Halo 4 will still play like shit.
-
Edited by Kkgit r done: 5/30/2013 10:15:21 PMbiased thread what if you already enjoy the game? also, >all these -blam!- saying its a good game all the sudden It's funny that you guys never play the game and hop on the "Halo 4 sucks" bandwagon and then when a title update is in the works you guys say Halo 4 will be a good game, even a masterpiece, and yet you haven't played the title update!
-
Wow it's suddenly a masterpiece of a game!
-
Halo 4 will be a good game with these changes.
-
I'm curious to see how this plays out. It's definitely not going to bring a bunch of people back.
-
I sold Halo 4 to get Bioshock Infinite and it was totally worth it. I may buy it back soon though.
-
Too little; too late.
-
343i arrived a little too late to the party...
-
Have you read that poem about a lady who swallows a fly, who swallows a spider, who swallows a bird, cat, dog and on and on and on? This is what I think of whenever 343i announces changes to the game.
-
They will help. But they wont help this game. Honestly, Im just looking at Halo 4 as a halo 5 beta.
-
So to balance everything they decided to make every weapon way more powerful...
-
Edited by God: 5/30/2013 3:43:46 PMThat's nice and all but I really don't have many problems with the sandbox, they really should be focusing on the gametypes. Halo 4's main problem is that there is little variety in game modes and a lot of the modes they currently have are pretty bad. Seriously, they make nearly every map asymmetrical but take away all one-sided gametypes.
-
I actually like the sound of most of these changes. Only thing I wish they did was make the Magnum a 5SK, or alternatively increase its magazine capacity to 10, or both.
-
It's an attempt to speed up the game. So far I like it and I'm excited to see how it works
-
So..... No changes on the Boltshot?
-
Edited by Arbiter 739: 5/30/2013 11:24:03 AMAt this point I honestly don't know if this will help balance the game or not. But why did they say "auto-aim" instead of "aim-assist"?
