So my nieces birthday is in August and I wanted to make her a jewelry box. The problem isnI have no -blam!-ing clue what I'm doing. Anyone have any suggestions? It doesn't have to be too fancy but I want it to be something she can hold onto.
-
How old is she? I'd go buy some exotic hardwood, some tung oil or polyurethane, and some high quality hinges. Make a simple yet beautiful box.
-
Go buy some artsy supplies and a little box from a Michaels store if you have one.
-
There are two ways to do this. 1) make the box yourself and then decorate it (this is more difficult, but allows a greater range of design/specifications), or 2) buy a box and decorate it. What would you prefer?
-
What is that girly website where people make their own stuff and sell it?
-
buy a box and drill a hole into it
-
Buy a standard box, it can be anything you want and buy or make some decorations to redesign the box to your liking. You can also tidy up the inside by adding some wool or a little pillow.
-
Just throw some jewelry in a shoebox.
-
The odds of finding anyone here who can help you are slim.

Cardboard and duct tape? Use crayons for decorations.
