The Campaign was good, the multiplayer was shit. The problem: The Halo Franchise has an established community/ fanbase. By throwing out the old game mechanics (essentially) to make the game more friendly to new players they alienated the Halo veterans. In the end the problem is something they thought was a good idea- they created an entirely new game that is completely different for all its predecessors. Thats a risky move. Thats also why CoD hasn't changed much over the years- its hard to recreate an established franchise correctly. Halo 4 had chance of recovering from the mistakes, at least until that GDC press conference. You don't show an image representing your community in a wheel chair. That moment killed off Halo 4's chance of recovering, and may prevent 343i's next game from seeing much success. 343i's actions in general, though done with good intentions, are a disgrace.
