They both messed up things that have been very good in the past.
343i ruined a whole franchise, taking out core gameplay features that players have been accustomed to.
Microsoft took everyone's excitement for a new console and dumped it down the drain by making it more of an entertainment system than a video game console.
Although both are major disappointments, which one is worst?

Halo 4 is the worse of the two. The Xbox One can be released and be improved with software updates, good games, good experience (just like the 360 was over its lifetime) but Halo 4 is done. It can never be redone, it's just a pile of unchangeable shit. At least the Xbox One still has potential.

The horse is already dead. Both of them. Just stop.
343i ruined a whole franchise
Wrong. Halo 4 was a terrible Halo game, but that doesn't mean the other games should immediately be forgotten about. Halo is still a great game series. Halo 4 is just fanfiction tacked on to the end of that.

Edited by DEZARATH: 5/28/2013 7:40:43 PMRedacted. I gotta stop caring about Halo topics.

Neither. Enlighten me, how did Halo 4 destroy the core values of Guns, Grenades, Melee? Also, to my surprise, most of the crappy stuff about the Xbox One was proven false.

So both are hated by extremist fanboys who will take the tiniest details and will extrapolate it to be the mark of the apocalaypse. But when looking back with hindsight after doing research without being blinded by nostalgia/hate are both actually good-even if they defer from how they used to be.
