Melee Weapons in Destiny
Will we be able to use melee weapons such as swords for to hunter or axes for titan?

Assassinations and stealth mechanics will probably be implemented in Destiny. Look at Reach.

I hope for customizable daggers, which will be used instead of the regular gun melee attack. No energy sword plz!

1 Replywell, using a melee weapon. or melee in general gives me a feeling like im a total bad-ass. you get all close then you're like whicha. even if the weapons aren't that effective they should be included. because if they don't, it will end up like Halo ce where the enemy kills you with a melee weapon, but you cant kill them with one... because there wasn't one. that's why in halo 2 they added the energy sword, then in halo 3 the Gravity hammer. because its needed. and i think in a Destiny preview i saw something like the bubble shield, so sword+bubble shield= one bubble you don't wanna go near. so yes they should, even as just a small side-project. test stuff out. if it doesent work, just don't put it in the next game, but it will...

I hope not, that'd be terrible. Bayonets, or melee using the weapon would be fine. But this is a First person game and sword combat looks terrible like that and there's the whole emphasis on guns.

Probably you saw the falllen with two swords so why not have melee weapons for titans or hunters

1 ReplyThe First Person Perspective doesn't allow for very interesting melee combat, to the point where it's worth giving it a miss to focus on other parts of the game in my opinion.

nothing solid has been stated, tho it is a stretch the latest cgi trailer did show someone rifle butt a enemy, hinting melee will take this classic fps route.

I'll be playing a Warlock so I'll just make my own sword. Anyway, I hope so, would be badass.
