I'm working on four wallpapers at the moment, one for each class, and a final which includes the entire 'pack'. Note that the blue background is temporary, I use it to find holes in the color. The energy ball is temporary as well, I'm trying to find out a good way to implement it while keeping the vector style.
I'm also working on the Hunter (pardon the mess) at the moment while I take a break from refining the Warlock. Up next is the Titan. After that I'm going to work on the wallpaper backdrop.

Edited by Prototape: 5/26/2013 7:58:44 AMThe final member is complete. Time to work on the backdrop of mystery. I'm thinking perhaps The City with the Traveler in the background, I don't really know just yet :L

Edited by Prototape: 5/24/2013 7:03:05 PMThe hunter is done! I'll have to start work on the Titan later tomorrow because of work. Hopefully I can finish it and start working on the backdrop soon.

Text, or no text? I'm not sure how I feel about it.

Edited by Prototape: 5/29/2013 5:21:04 AMMaking this has brought me to places I didn't think I'd go. The image above is kind of a concept, but it will give you an idea of what this will look like (sans The City). I'd been working most of today trying to get the scenery right, but doing it through my conventional means didn't seem to work very well. So I made a landscape in a modeling program, rendered it, and now I'm fleshing it out with some of my stock photos. The view of the city is going to be in the valley, so it's going to be a 'distance' view, this way we get more of the Traveler in the scene. The Guardians and faction flags are going to be at the forefront. On that note, the flag stand is going to change. The one I have is somewhat of a placeholder I made after a flag stand seen in a trailer. I'm nearly done with the scenery, I'm just going to work on 'dumbing' it down a bit to match the rest of the pieces. It looks too real at this point. One thing I need to work on is making the ledge pop out a bit, it blends in with the lower area too much.

This is just an idea but I think your style would work well for a Destiny themed recruitment poster!

Edited by Prototape: 5/28/2013 8:37:29 PMI've been working on some buildings, but more importantly I took a moment to make the Traveler. While I used an image from the "Law of the Jungle" trailer to make the Guardians, the rest of what I'm doing is essentially without reference. I glanced at some concept art for the Traveler, but all I really had to do was make a circle, select some areas and delete them to reveal a darker color under it. The actual city is something I'm going to have to work out for myself, seeing as how we haven't seen any of it really, so that part's going to take me quite a while because I have to design the buildings based on what I think 'works'. Lastly, I also plan on having a flag by each Guardian to represent each faction, so if you choose to use the wallpaper, you can choose your class and faction accordingly. I'll update again once I have more done. Thanks again everyone!

Eeeerrrreectin' a hunter. Should be done within the next couple hours or so. Thanks everyone! Progress is going fast, even though both my psd files have something around 500 shapes each. Men without fear do not merge layers.

May I ask what you are using to create this?
