When ye fight with a wolf of the pack ye must fight him alone and afar, Lest others take part in the quarrel and the pack is diminished by war.[/i] — Rudyard Kipling, [i]The Second Jungle Book[/i][/spoiler] The term "law of the jungle", as described by Kipling (who coined it), is not in the commonly known sense (everyman for himself, survival of the fittest, etc). Instead, it represents the individual's responsibility to a larger group (the pack) and the groups responsibility to the individual (the wolf). Interestingly and quite paradoxically, both definitions of the term are relevant to Destiny. Now I'd like to point out that the trailer placed a lot of focus and emphasis on the Hunter class in contrast to the other two classes. The Hunter Class: [spoiler][i]Hunters once prowled the wilderness and wastelands, taking big risks for even bigger rewards. You're no outlaw—at least, not anymore—but making your own luck has always meant bending the rules. Your unique brand of daring and ingenuity is needed now more than ever.[/i][/spoiler] The Hunter is already the most popular of all the classes, and this trailer has definitely made it feel even more appealing compared to the others. Aside from acting as the squad leader (a position that would be more expected from a Titan), he was the only one that was actually shown to kill an enemy. He sniped the Fallen captain, beat down the knife wielder, blew up the bike rider, and performed a killtrocity on the heavily protected Cabal, disintegrating them to nothing with a single revolver (it was pretty kick-ass, though). In addition, the camera was centered on him almost the whole time the squad was present. So why is the Hunter the star of the show? Perhaps it's because the Hunter best encompasses and combines the "every man for himself" and "we're all in this together" themes in addition to his comparison to a wolf. Perhaps (I know this one is very speculative) this trailer is the first of three unique trailers, each focusing on one of the classes. This would mean that Bungie is planning to release two more live action trailers before the game is released, one for the Titan and one for the Warlock. But that's just my speculation. Is there a reason for this level of focus on one class? If so, what does it mean?
