I think I would. Obviously you have the mostly negative example of China, but I don't think most of those issues actually derive from Technocracy. And honestly, we already have/are fast approaching many of China's issues with our current system.
I just have this odd feeling that it would be better than letting cowboys and banksters run everything.

It could cause the problem that not everyone could stand for election for the party - given the entrance requirements. However, it would greatly reduce the problem in politics that almost no politicians have any great depth of knowledge in the department to which they have been assigned, leading to the situation where the Governmental official on a subject is as clueless as the average voter. Also, I can't hear the word "Technocracy" without thinking of the Brotherhood of Steel...
