Who would win Locust horde or the Covenant?
i was randomly thinking and for some reason the thought of a battle between the two mentioned parties at full power came to mind. only limit i would impose would be that the covenant can not fall back into orbit and glass the surface of the planet that the battle takes place on.
Who do you think would win guys?

Depends..are we talking about the pussy Halo 3 Covenant, or the badass Halo Reach ones?

The only thing the Covenant has to do is hover above the ground in their ships and fire down.They don't even have to glass it. Pretty much every scenario the Covenant would win.

You never said anything about the Covies ships firing on targeted positions located on the planets surface. Even without Capitol Ships in orbit backing them up, the Covenant would have only minor difficulties overrunning the Locust.

The Locust lack the huge technological prowess of the Covenant - glassing or not.

Canonically a plasma pistol bolt can take a human's arm off. With all of the Locust's vehicles being made of flesh, small arms fire could wear down even toughest Brumak. This isn't even a contest.

A more reasonable fight... but the Covenant would win. The Covenant's technology is vastly superior.. and they actually have a working Air Force type armada.
