So that's not what anyone was expecting it to be called? What are your thoughts?

Edited by coffeetunic: 5/21/2013 6:19:59 PMJust realized this is a discussion on the name. Whoops! I kinda like the name myself. The rest of my opinions are a bit more harsh. The design sucks, it just looks like a clunky DVR or cable box. Spec wise, we don't know enough to really judge it, which really suck because today's presentation was supposed to focus on "hardware". Instead, it was more focused on their firmware and some generic software that doesn't tell us much at all. Honestly, this presentation was poorly done. They targeted the wrong market group for the people who were watching and really didn't deliver the content that they promised. It's just such a letdown for Microsoft, this could have been a great opportunity for them.

Glorified cable box. 'Nuff said. Also, Xbox One? Are we using Resident Evil naming conventions now?
-
You know why they call it the Xbox One? Because when you see it, you take one look at it, turn 360 degrees, and walk away.
-
Meh. Don't really like the name.
-
Not a big fan, but I can deal with it. Main problem I see is people saying "Xbox One" and meaning the very first Xbox, and not the next gen console.
-
I like it. The new Xbox is everything I wanted it to be. Now we wait to hear about games at e3!!!

It's stupid I think... It sounds old and boring. They really could have done better
-
I was thinking they'd just call it "xbox."

It sounds better than Xbox 720, that would be a terrible name.
-
I like it

I was suprised. I was expecting infinity. I knew 720 was just a rumor being kicked around.
