Have you ever died in a dream?
I just did the other night for the first time I can remember. The dream "started" with me running for my life as a pack of wolves chased me down and killed me. Then the rest of the dream consisted of a strange experience of going back in time and learning how I got to that point: why the wolves wanted to kill me, etc. (There was a whole plotline I won't bore you with but it was creepy and disturbing.)
How about your dream-death experiences? Let's hear 'em.

You know what's worse than that? Just when you're about to fall asleep you feel like you're falling and you wake up and sit up.

3 RepliesI've fallen off cliffs, been tortured by witches, repeatedly impaled through the abdomen, eaten alive, and drowned. I'm a lucid dreamer btw, so it's always a good time.

2 RepliesI have never died in a dream, but sometimes I have dreams where I am talking to people and realize I am dreaming, and it's like my brain doesn't know what to say, and people stop talking or the dialogue seems weird. like I know I am dreaming and can sort of control the dialog but can't control it 100% and realize it, and my brain is like da fuq do i say now

I can't recall dying in a dream, although I'm sure I either have or have come close to it before. I can, however, remember watching my dad die in a dream. It was really... Real, too. I actually thought my dad had committed suicide when I woke up. I was shaking and crying until I realized that I was there in the dream when he died, and that was 3000 miles away. No way could I get there and back without remembering it. But still, that really threw off my entire morning.

3 RepliesTo my knowledge of this, no one has ever died in a dream. The farthest Iv heard of is the dreamer experiencing the act, but wake up before the death occurred. From what I remember the theory is if you die in the dream, you die. Or your subconscious cant experience death, essentially unhandled exception like a computer, and your wake up.

1 ReplyI had a dream were I was being choked by a snake during that time my eyesight in the dream faded to a black and I could partially see out of my actually bodies eyes but I couldn't move them and when i tried to move ANY part of my body it just felt numb and continued to get number until I supposedly died and woke up [spoiler]i have died in at least 5 dreams that I can remember but I wake up right them[/spoiler]

Just recently I had a dream where ants were crawling into my finger tips. I woke up to find that my entire right arm was numb, so I started flailing it about and slapping it until feeling came back. My wife wasn't too fond of my excuse for waking her.

you did the nightfall strike and got sent back to reality jk to answer your question i had a dream were i got stabbed and when i woke up it was a little sore where it happend in the dream

i have never dreamt about dying, but one interesting thing is that i have never once had a nightmare, and i often remember my dreams. i have had a number of times where i felt i was in danger, but wasn't scared for some reason.as it seemed like a surreal experience. and many of those times i recognized i was in a dream which allowed me to change a lot.

I always wake up right before I die... Not peacefully though. Like, kick my bed sheet off of me and continue running until I hit the wall wake up.

Well during a dream that was actually quite pleasant and tropical island related, I ended up on one of those floating-pier things a little off the shore. It became night, and there was a concert going on at the other side of the island. Deciding to go check it out, I began wading towards the shore (the water was waste deep and lit up like a pool). Then, all of a sudden, a gigantic shark came out of nowhere! It bit me and carried me out to sea. I literally forced myself awake.

I had one where I was fighting terrorist skeletons on a train that was on a bridge 200ft above the surface of the ocean and I was dressed like a pirate and jumped out the window to avoid the explosion of the train crashing into a cliff only to have me splat on the ocean surface

1 ReplyI've died from being stabbed, shot, incinerated, eviscerated, decapitated, impaled, and all manner of grisly deaths. My last one had me getting my throat cut. I woke up with the phantom sensation of blood pouring out of the wound.
