I think this is pretty interesting:
In August 2011 Kendall Davis - a Halo Fan since he was thirteen - quit his job at 343 Industries to start making a heavily story driven iPad game/interactive comic.
According to this article he pitched his project to Bungie Aerospace hoping the creators of Halo could help him realise his vision. But apparently it was too big for Aerospace and he tried to find other publishers to fund his project. As he failed to find a partner he started a Kickstarter campaign which ended successfully with achieving 150% of it's original funding goal.
The game should have been released in March 2012, but after some updates on the state of the game there were two long periods without any further information.
But now comes the important part: About two weeks ago he posted a video update explaining the problems he and his studio had and that they needed additional funding after the Kickstarter campaign. All while wearing a Bungie t-shirt with the Bungie logo right into the viewers face.
Could this mean that he came back to Bungie to ask for additional funding and that The Last Sleeper (that's the name of the game) will soon be revealed to be the next Aerospace game? Or does he just wear the Bungie T-Shirt because he is a fan of Bungie and Halo?
What's also interesting is that he has some top-class artists helping him develop the game:
Kendall Davis - Writer & Director [Producer & Designer: Halo 4]
Ethan Van Der Ryn - Sound Designer [Lord of the Rings, King Kong, Transformers, 2 Academy Awards]
Erik Aadahl - Sound Designer [Tree of Life, Transformers, X-Men]
Steve Jablonsky - Composer [Transformers, Gears of War 3]
Jeff Snow - Storyboard Artist [Head Story Artist, Dreamworks]
Pat Connor - Programmer [Bioshock 2]
William Gahr - Programmer [Red Dead Redemption]
Michael Cheng - Lead Level Designer [God of War 2, Dante's Inferno]
BTW: Another guy who left 343 is also making a very nice looking game that will come out on iPad, iPhone and PC (hidden 343 bashing... hahaha.... nah just kidding).

Nice post. Personally I feel Aerospace was created for this very scenario, except for future Ex-Bungie employees and not ex-343i employees. With the size that Bungie is today, there is no way they will be able to sustain all these creative minds with Destiny. Aerospace could be a means to allow Bungie's talent to aim above and beyond once Destiny 1 Ships.
