And not a single damn was given that day.
Let's be honest, since the Wii was launched no one's bought a Nintendo console for anything other than exclusives, you buy one of the other two consoles if you want the multi-platform games, especially with the next generation coming up.
So does anyone actually give a rat's ass about this?

Well, Nintendo should. Person buys Wii U > 3rd party dev makes game for Wii U > Person buys 3rd party Wii U game > Nintendo makes royalty money. Step 3 and 4 cant happen without step 2.
-
I don't care, the WiiU is going to curl up and die anyway.
-
I don't give a damn, I would never play third party games on Nintendo's systems anyway.
-
I said a few days ago that the Wii U was going to die, and this is proof of it, though someone tried to tell me I was stupid for thinking such things. While EA makes almost every sports game worth playing, they also help publish a butt ton of other games that have released on Nintendo over the years. The Wii wouldn't have survived just on fanboys, neither will the Wii U. If they lose any other major developers, they are -blam!-ed.
-
If this the PS4 or the NEXTbox (whatever they're calling it), this would be devastating news. This is Nintendo, however; they're the company that, in dire straits, can whisper "Metroid" and people will collectively crap out their own hearts. Speaking of which, what first-party titles are scheduled for the Wii U right now? I've heard smatterings about a new Brawl game, but I'm not sure if those are true or not...
-
Nobody in this thread seems to actually realise why EA did this. Its not because the Wii U can't run those games, EA even said last year that the Wii U can easily run the Frostbite engine. EA did this because Nintendo said no to them having an Origin app on the Wii U.
So does anyone actually give a rat's ass about this?
I give a rat's ass about this. Because it proves my point that Nintendo isn't going to cater to the mainstream gamer, and the Wii U couldn't given how it only matches to the current 360 and PS3 how the 720 and PS4 are coming out for Christmas. Now excuse me while I go through my post history, find all the Nintendo fan bois screaming about how the Wii U is going to be the bestest console ever (despite selling lower compared to the Wii) and about how it's going to have soo many third party titles and titles for mainstream gamers.
-
Whatever. Just give me Zelda, Mario, Metroid, etc. and I'm good.
-
Oh no, not the third party games on a nintendo console! This will kill the library of games for the Wii U! damn it! Nintendo relies on third party SO MUCH!
-
Has anyone else developed anything for the wii u?
-
I'm fine with EA staying away, they're terrible.
-
Meh. Nintendo is obviously no longer the video game super power it was but they will still do really well and sell a lot of product.

Edited by Noshotskill: 5/17/2013 12:42:01 AMDoes anyone even want to buy a EA published video game anymore? I mean they are the reigning champion of America's worst company after all... Besides, as a Nintendo fan, I don't think I've bought a non-first party title for a Nintendo console since the gamecube days.
-
That's cool.
-
I checked the closet. Couldn't find any -blam!-s.
-
Nope, don't care. I'm not even gonna get a Wii-U till the next Zelda or Smash Bros. installments get released.
-
Who cares. Nobody buys a Nintendo console for third party titles anyway. Zelda, Mario & Metroid > Any other exclusive franchise.
-
:( I got a Nintendo Wii U for my next gen console cos I like the touch screen on it. In all honestly I don't like the Wii and so never got one but the Wii U is awesome. I also got an Xbox 360 and PS3 but if EA makes not games for Wii U then it's a sad day for all. :(
-
I'm shocked. Completely. Never would of saw this coming.
-
Not to mention I really don't see anything special about the Wii U. I mean yeah the screen controller seem things neat, but I heard it has a shit battery life, and not to mention I just don't see anything coming out for the Wii U that I would honestly play.
