When I say that I mean when did it go downhill

As soon as I heard about Anniversary edition, I realized 343 was going in with a couple of objectives: 1) Use a classic, beloved, and original game as a stepping stone for their studio. 2) Not have to really be that creative, anyone can take a simple clean design (less polygons) and add 3 times as many ("enhanced" graphics) and still make a lot of money Taking it as a "tribute" is BS, what a creative tribute would've been is a game that might've explored other events that were happening on Halo while MC was doing his thing. Following Sgt Johnson or something, maybe. That would've been fine, but they just needed to practice with something easy (copying) that would pay well to keep M$ happy. Talk about the polar opposite mindset of the independent studio which bore the idea of Halo to the world. They roughed up my baby. I definitely wasn't cool with that.
