how magic works

So what's everyone's take on how magic will work in destiny? Let's get some ideas rolling, I particularly like the way magic works in a game like skyrim but that doesn't seem at all suited for an fps.

ENMiTY EFFECT

I hope they make magic very useful in this game. Not to the point of being OP. Spells that i want are. Fireball Blink (teleport a short distance in the direction you are facing.) Magic Barrier
