This is certainly is not an original idea but I wondering if it might be possible to included gamertag tagging in posts? For example, I recently gave a s/o to a community member. I sent him a PM to let him know, but it would be nice if I could have simply just tagged him and he automatically received a notification. Same goes if you are responding to multiple replies in a thread. I could also seeing this being used for Destiny gameplay vids, simply tag all the gamers that participated in the vid. Is this something you have considered?

Edited by VIC: 5/15/2013 4:36:01 AMIf I'm reading this right, you want the ability to "mention" people in posts. So if I posted the following in a comment chain or another thread that you didn't create (as of right now, you wouldn't get a notification):
"I think @MasterBarek's idea is pretty cool."
Then you would get a notification? I like the idea. There's potential for abuse by someone tagging/mentioning you in every post (to spam your notifications) but you could always mute them. If I recall correctly, we were able to do this with the files system on the previous version of the website. Perhaps we will see this function return one day. Please note, I'm not an employee nor do I have any insider knowledge.

Tagging for gamertags using hashtags?

I'm not 100% sure, but I think that the option to "display on public profile" option allows you to show/share your linked accounts (PSN, MS, etc.) so that your followers can then quickly and easily get to your external accounts. Has anyone set their accounts to "display"? I would test it, but I don't think that if I set mine to display, that me then looking at my account is an accurate test of the function.

I'm not to sure how I see the overall use of this feature for right now. I myself wouldn't personally use it, unless I was creating a thread about someone or was conducting an interview or something maybe. But hey you never know right? Maybe others will see a use for this and agree with you.
