Who gives a shit about the constitution?

The thing was written at the end of the 18thC during a not so revolutionary revolution. I get that it defends certain rights and liberties and such, but for -blam!-'s sake, society and politics are evolving entities. If certain weapons are prohibited with disregard to the second amendment, who gives two flying turds? You don't need an assault rifle for defensive purposes. Not to mention that both sides are guilty of picking and choosing what to abide by and what to ignore.

The Constitution is very important. It's the Supreme Law of The Land. Everything from what rights you are given, to how the Government is run is written in The Constitution with a process of changing it to adapt with new times. Everything that is done in the United States must be in accordance with The Constitution, We have a Judicial body that interprets the Constitution, you have a Legislative body that creates new laws that must be in accordance with The Constitution, and you have an Executive body that must carry out the laws to uphold The Constitution. It's what our entire Government is built upon and must adhere to.
