Personally? I can relate.
My bout with serious depression didn't follow those lines but I did experience more than a few of the same key concepts. I'm still not completely over my depression either, it's just downshifted to first gear instead of third.

I've read this before! It's really helped me to understand why it's so hard for people with depression, and why they can't just "Be Happy and think everything's going to be alright" all of a sudden and everything.
