Simple question. Would you like dual wielding in Destiny like Halo 2/3?
Personally I'd like Destiny to have the dual wielding feature for combat; provided Bungie adds tweaks and improvements over the mechanic that existed in Halo 2 and 3.

Dual wielding hand cannons would be so badass, dual wielding scout rifles would be worse than useless though, I suppose it's all down to the player about that though. What I personally would like is the ability to use the sidearm beside your primary weapon. I might dual wield auto rifles if I feel like a psychopath (along side being a pyromaniac).
-
I say if you receive to of the same weapons (on a general spectrum) than you should have the ability to combine the weapons together (not infuse) so they take up one vault or inventory slot. Like you have two eyaslunas, you combine them to make one slot, and you can duel wield.
-
I think an exotic sidearm whose exotic perk is dual-wielding would be fair

Edited by ashdelete: 5/19/2013 4:31:09 PMHere's confirmation that dual-wield WILL be in destiny, like it or not. http://www.officialplaystationmagazine.co.uk/2013/05/15/destiny-ps4-feature-a-brave-new-world-with-bungies-hugely-ambitious-mmo-shooter-hybrid/ edit: "But then she shows up out of nowhere. Carving sand on a stolen pike, strafing Cabal with her dual shock cannons."
-
that's like asking "do you want to be a bad ass and look awesome at the same time?"
-
It really depends, because it'd be awesome to dual wield the awesome revolvers and one handed guns (like the Fallen double barrel pistol) but it would have to to be properly balanced for the normal game and PvP.
-
Bungie is the one who took it out of Halo in the 1st place so no
-
Edited by Dune634: 11/23/2013 10:01:03 AMThis is a good idea for some of the weapons but if it was where you could dual wield two machine guns then I think it would make you overpowered. It would be awesome though if it was like hand cannons that were dual wielded. This game is being made to be different so it might not have dual wield because of this.
-
Only if the movement speed would allow it. Dual wielding was only good for close combat, and as such you'd need to close the distance for it to be used effectively. Otherwise, I don't want to see it implemented in Destiny.
-
Yes, I loved dual wielding nothing is more badass than a spartan dual wielding magnums/SMG's or an elite dual wielding plasma rifles/needlers
-
Dual wielding just presents balancing issues, without adding anything meaningful to the game. Any dual wielded weapon can just be thought of as another entirely new weapon. Bungie could just come out with a new weapon that has the same characteristics as the dual wielded weapon. Now if these can be mixed and matched, like in Halo, the balance of every combination needs to be tested. With single wielded weapons, you can still have the same variations in firing and accuracy that you can have with dual wielded weapons, and you don't have to spend extra time and money coding a dual wield feature.

Edited by Ahhsenberg: 5/21/2013 12:47:49 AMI would like to be able to dual wield weapons in Destiny. However, I would imagine that this feature would already be implemented in the game considering the huge amount of weapons that are going to be in Destiny.
-
I'd like a combat system were I could use nothing but my hands and knifes; hand to hand combat between fallen captains would be great.
-
Yes, but within reason. It would be OP if you could dual wield big or super powerful guns, but if you could dual wield things like pistols and SMGs, it would be a really nice touch.
-
Imagine dual wielding THORN!!! :D
-
Edited by MoReCoWbELLx2x1: 5/20/2013 5:31:26 AMI would not, for the sole fact that it almost adds nothing new to the game, except issues with weapons being overpowered. People have tried dual wielding, and ALWAYS their is a overpowered gun. Find me a game where there isn't a over powered dual wielding gun, i challenge you. (A game where their are multiple weapons that can be dual wielded)
-
No way I never liked dual wielding
-
Ultimately I way to quad wield as a fallen
-
I'd love to see it happen, but I doubt it'll work out. Each of the classes has a distinct feel (Titans: Heavy weapons, Hunters: Rifles, Warlocks: Magic with their offhand) that wouldn't quite fit with dual wielding.
-
Yes, but by yes I mean a knife and a pistol, or two light weapons, or dual blades.
-
Not especially, but as others have said I wouldn't want to ruin it for anyone else.
-
If we only had four arms like our dear friends...stupid fallen get to duel-wield rocket launchers...
-
I think that the only weapons that should be able to be dual wielded are pistols.
-
I've voted to nothing because im going to use sniper :D

More = Better.
